GAELIC AWARENESS
Today Gaelic is gaining a great deal of public exposure with the advent of increased Gaelic medium education, bilingual signage and media channels.
With the Gaelic Language Act (Scotland) giving new responsibilities to public bodies to promote the language, it is vital that organisations’ staff understand how important Gaelic is in the work place and to the world in which we live.
Gaelic Awareness Course
Clì provides a one-day “Gaelic Awareness” course. The course is delivered and aims to raise consciousness of the language and its regeneration. The course is suitable for both public and private organisations.
The course will demonstrate why Gaelic is so important to Scotland by looking at the likes of
- where Gaelic came from
- simple phrases
- pronunciation and explanation of Gaelic placenames
